Letter From
the President

Christy Hornbuckle

Dear Friends,

Thank you for supporting the Scott Kirschenmann Family Foundation! Since the inception of the foundation, we have been able to do some amazing things for our community and build relationships so we can continue our great mission.

Last April we had a very successful Launch Event and Golf Derby! The support we garnered on our first event, was so humbling for my family and me. We are so pleased to be taking some of my brother Scott’s assets and putting it back into Kern County. We know he is smiling down on our good work we are doing for our youth. We are planning our next ‘Choke-Off’ in late September, so please keep a look out for those details.

Last spring, we were able to gift $5000 of student scholarships and $40,000 of grants to educational institutions in our community! We also raised an additional $11,000 gift for Bakersfield College’s Agriculture program, at our highly unique fundraiser, The Scotty Kirschenmann Cannonball Run! Please stay tuned for the announcement of the Cannonball Run II, coming in Spring of 2023!

We would also like to share that we have a new office! Please come visit us at 5500 Ming Ave., Suite 300, Bakersfield, CA 93309!

We are so grateful for your support! We are looking forward to another great year of fundraising, gifting and building better opportunities for our youth!

Thank you,

Christy Hornbuckle
